In recent years, China's new display industry has accelerated and reached a new level, with an annual production capacity of 200 million square meters of display panels, ranking first in the world in terms of industrial scale. The wet process is a manufacturing process that uses chemical solutions and is widely used in the manufacturing of display panels. The AMOLED wet process requires cleanliness to reach the submicron level. Simply put, the cleaning process is equivalent to using a water gun to clean off impurities the size of a hair thread on a football field, while the stripping process is equivalent to using organic solvents to remove residues the size of peas on objects the size of Beijing Daxing International Airport Jiang Xin, founder and general manager of Suzhou Jingzhou Equipment Technology Co., Ltd., introduced that the number of equipment required for the wet process accounted for more than half of the AMOLED production line. Before the successful application of Jingzhou's self-developed equipment, the vast majority of wet process equipment was produced by Japanese and Korean enterprises.
Thanks to the planned and step-by-step strong support of leading enterprises for domestic equipment suppliers, we have made a breakthrough in domestic display wet process equipment. "Jiang Xin said, with the demand guidance and technical support of Visionox, once focused on the photovoltaic industry wet process equipment of Kzone. In 2012, achieved the first localization of OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) 2.5-generation line etching and stripping equipment. Afterwards, AMOLED 6th generation wet process equipment was delivered and successfully applied in Visionox in 2020.
After more than 10 years of independent research and development, Kzone has grown into a major provider of wet process display equipment in China, including cleaning, developing, etching, peeling and other equipment. It has delivered multiple new display production lines in bulk and has the ability to produce and deliver 10.5 generation lines. Its customers include mainstream display panel manufacturers in China, such as Visionox, BOE, and CSOT.
In the latest expansion project of Visionox's Hefei factory, all 12 equipment for etching, peeling, and cleaning processes are using Kzone products for the first time. Jiang Xin said that the company is focusing its research and development efforts on the adhesive (coating) process equipment, striving to achieve breakthroughs within 2-3 years and achieve the localization of the entire series of equipment for wet process display.
At present, China has formed a leading competitiveness in the field of LCD (liquid crystal display), with a global market share of over 70%. In the OLED field, domestic enterprises have mastered core technologies and expanded into technological innovation areas such as high refresh rate and pixel arrangement. New generation display technologies such as micro displays, printed displays, and laser displays are also catching up.
